Eligibility Criteria for DSE Assam Recruitment
To be eligible for the DSE Assam Special Educator Recruitment, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- A Graduate or Post Graduate degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent).
- A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Special Education, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- Degrees from off-campus or distance education institutions are only valid if they are from recognized institutions like KKHSOU, IGNOU, or Dibrugarh University.
- Age Limit:
- Age must be between 18 and 40 years as of January 1, 2025.
- Age Relaxation is available for certain categories:
- Ex-Servicemen: 42 years
- OBC/MOBC: 43 years
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 45 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 50 years
- Other Criteria:
- Permanent residents of Assam.
- Valid Employment Exchange Registration.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority for government employees.

Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), along with a few other factors:
- TET Recruitment Test (140 Marks):
- Pedagogy: 50 Marks
- About Assam and Its People: 35 Marks
- General English: 30 Marks
- General Mathematics (10th standard): 15 Marks
- General Studies and Current Affairs: 10 Marks
- NCC/Sports/Fine Arts and Cultural Activities (5 Marks):
- NCC: 5 marks for ‘C’ Certificate, 3 marks for ‘B’ Certificate.
- Sports: 5 marks for participation at the National Level.
- Fine Arts and Culture: 5 marks for National-level representation.
- Weightage for TET Pass Candidates: Those who have passed the High School TET but were not appointed will receive an additional weightage of 5% marks (maximum 5 marks).
