  Selection Process for SBI PO Recruitment

The selection process for Probationary Officers consists of three distinct phases, each outlined below:

  Phase I: Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination, conducted online, consists of an Objective Test worth 100 marks. This test comprises three sections, each with separate time limits.

  Phase II: Main Examination

The Main Examination is also conducted online and comprises two parts: Objective Tests for 200 marks and a Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Following the Objective Test, candidates must immediately type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.

– Objective Test: This segment lasts for 3 hours and includes four sections totaling 200 marks, with separate timing for each section.

  Phase III: Interview

In Phase III, the bank may conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling on shortlisted candidates. The test results may be presented to the Interview panel to gain a comprehensive understanding of the candidates.

The third phase may involve an Interview (30 marks) and Group Exercises (20 marks). Candidates must achieve minimum qualifying marks in Phase III to be eligible for final selection. The specific qualifying marks will be determined by the Bank.
